Omar Ávalos Gallegos, M.A., a creative entrepreneur, performer and lecturer, combines years of experience in Arts & Entertainment advocacy and promotion. A lifelong resident of Santa Ana, Mr. Ávalos advocated successfully for the creation of the City of Santa Ana’s Arts & Culture Commission, and co-promoted the 2004 and 2005 Orange County International Latino Film Festival, the 2010 to 2014 OC Film Fiesta, and comedy through the Hollywood, Brea and Irvine Improv. Mr. Ávalos wrote the soccer columns Chivatown Post for The Goat Parade at SB Nation and Chivas Nation at Soccer Newsday, and created the columns and brands Saint City Soccer, Santaniego, Santaniego FC and Golden City FC, among others.
Having formerly provided music services for UC Irvine and Fullerton College, Mr. Ávalos is currently an Associate Music Instructor at Santa Ana College, and now serves as Director of Public Relations for Santa Ana Winds FC.
